Rubber components play a vital role in the primary packaging of pharmaceuticals, offering excellent sealing capabilities. However, there has been growing concern about the presence of undesirable impurities like nitrosamines in rubber materials. This webinar aims to shed light on the significant advances made in the chemical cleanliness of rubber components over the past few decades. Industry experts will also provide insights into the extractables that can be expected from both older and more modern rubber formulations and will demonstrate how selecting the right compound and utilizing readily available extractables data can streamline the E&L (Extractables and Leachables) testing process.

Tine Hardeman studied Polymer Chemistry at the University of Leuven and received her MSc in 2013. She acquired a PhD for her dissertation on the controlled synthesis of conjugated polymers in 2017.
After gaining R&D experience at Kaneka Belgium, Tine started her career at Datwyler in 2018 as Manager of Material Development. In this role, she supports the development of new rubber formulations and raw material management, and helps customers with rubber compound-related questions, among other things. Additionally, she focuses on the field of Extractables & Leachables.
