Presentation Details
The “Invisible Key” in the Era of Precision Dosing: The Critical Role of Elastomer Closures in High-Sensitive Biopharmaceutical Drug Delivery
This keynote presentation will focus on the critical sealing challenges associated with highly sensitive biologics in primary packaging formats such as pre-filled syringes and cartridges. It will specifically explore elastomer formulation design, monomeric-free PFAS fluoropolymer coating technologies, production line quality standards, and ready-to-use (RTU) component solutions, and their impact on drug stability throughout the product lifecycle, packaging compatibility, seal integrity, particulate levels, extractables and leachables (E&L), machinability, and regulatory compliance.
Through solutions such as the NeoFlex™ plungers and DuraCoat™ combiseals, and needle shields, we will demonstrate how elastomeric seals serve as the “invisible key” in drug delivery systems, supporting the safety, stability, and reliability of highly sensitive biologics in precision drug delivery systems.
Additionally, this presentation will explore the technical challenges associated with high-dose biologics in the field of Large-Volume On-Body Delivery and introduce the industry’s first 20ml coated plunger for cartridge, along with a comprehensive sealing solution for large-volume subcutaneous injections.
