About this Brochure

DuraCoat™ combiseals are Datwyler's purpose-built solution for cartridge applications in pharmaceutical and biotech markets, combining a high-value alloy cap with a protective laminate to deliver a higher-quality, lower-risk sealing system. The inclusion of a polypropylene layer over the lacquer minimizes particulate generation during processing and handling, while an optimized production process reduces aluminum consumption and waste—lowering both container rejection risk and overall quality costs. Compatibility with the ultra-clean FM457 rubber compound and the absence of silicone oil in manufacturing ensures drug stability throughout development, and the ability to use the same compound for both plunger and combiseal reduces formulation risk. DuraCoat™ combiseals are proven compatible with ready-to-fill (RtF) cartridges, supporting faster changeovers and manufacturing flexibility. Available in five aluminum cap colors and two liner colors, they enable clear visual differentiation across product lines. Offered in mono-layer and bi-layer configurations for 1–3 mL cartridges, DuraCoat™ delivers flawless processability on standard filling lines.
