About this Brochure

Datwyler is the preferred solution partner for cartridge sealing applications in pharmaceutical and biotech markets, offering one of the most comprehensive and experience-backed portfolios of plungers and combiseals in the industry. Cartridge plungers are available in sizes from 6.85 mm to 23.85 mm in FM257 and FM457 compounds, with NeoFlex™ fluoropolymer-coated options available at 9.65–9.7 mm, 19.05 mm, and 23.85 mm for highly sensitive drug applications requiring the lowest extractables and leachables and elimination of silicone oil-based subvisible particles. Datwyler's combiseal range includes standard mono-layer and bi-layer rubber-lined aluminum caps, as well as DuraCoat™ next-generation laminated combiseals—available in mono-layer and bi-layer configurations for 1–3 mL cartridges in gold, silver, green, blue, and red—which combine a high-value alloy with a PP laminate layer to minimize particulate generation, reduce total cost of ownership, and eliminate compatibility risk through use of the same FM457 compound for both plunger and combiseal. Materials support multi-dose applications with a large number of punctures without compromising container integrity. All components are manufactured under Datwyler's Advanced or FirstLine® standards with a zero-defect philosophy and are compatible with glass and polymer cartridges and all standard delivery devices.
