About this Brochure

Datwyler offers the pharmaceutical and biotech industry's widest portfolio of sealing components for prefilled syringe applications, designed to ensure drug and packaging stability, container closure integrity, and compatibility across all standard syringe formats and drug delivery devices. The plunger range covers standard 0.5 mL to 10 mL formats—with custom sizes available up to 50 mL—in FM257 and FM457 compounds, and NeoFlex™ fluoropolymer-coated variants are available at 0.5 mL and 1 mL long sizes, delivering the lowest extractables and leachables, reduced sub-visible particle counts, and silicone-free performance for sensitive biologics and biotech formulations. All plunger products meet ISO standard 11040-5 requirements and are compatible with the most widely used auto-injector platforms. For front-end closure, Datwyler offers soft needle shields (½" and 5/8"), rigid needle shields (½", FM30), and tip caps in ribbed and mushroom designs (FM30/FM257)—engineered for sterile barrier protection, needle preservation, and intuitive removal. All syringe sealing components are available under Advanced and FirstLine® manufacturing standards in RFS, RTU, and RTP configurations, with steam, gamma, and ETO sterilization options as applicable, supported by a zero-defect manufacturing philosophy and a global team of technical experts who guide compound selection and provide data packages for drug development and regulatory submissions.
