NeoFlex™ is Datwyler's premium fluoropolymer-coated plunger, purpose-engineered for prefilled syringes and cartridges where drug purity, device performance, and patient safety are non-negotiable. The plunger's full coating is bonded to ultra-clean FM457 bromobutyl rubber, forming a protective barrier that minimizes drug–component interaction and ensures the lowest extractables and leachables—critical for sensitive biologics, biosimilars, and complex injectable formulations. NeoFlex™'s silicone-free natural lubricity eliminates rubber shedding and significantly reduces sub-visible particle levels, meeting the strictest cleanliness standards for injectable packaging. The multi-layer spray coating is applied for a flawless, pinhole-free, wrinkle-free finish, ensuring consistent container closure integrity (CCI) even under challenging transport and temperature conditions. Engineered for both manual and device-assisted injections, NeoFlex™ delivers optimized break-loose and gliding forces across all siliconized syringe barrels and drug delivery device formats. Available for prefilled syringes (0.5 mL to 10 mL) and cartridges (9.65–23.85 mm), and manufactured exclusively under Datwyler's FirstLine® standard, NeoFlex™ also features a lower carbon footprint and non-fluorosurfactant fluoropolymer to support sustainability goals.
