About this Brochure
PrimeCaps™ represent Datwyler's premium flip-off aluminum cap solution for parenteral drug packaging, combining best-in-class alloy and plastic polymers with the company's proprietary Accurim manufacturing technology. The Accurim process delivers four key design advantages that directly support filling line performance: a center-gated disc for accurate camera inspection and elimination of earing phenomena; rounded disc edges for smooth processability without entangling on high-speed fill and finish lines; a bridge design assembly that ensures stable and precise opening forces for a superior end-user experience; and a smooth, straight cut edge that enables flawless machineability and minimized reject rates. Automated camera inspection at the batch level covers visual, dimensional, and functional checks, ensuring every cap meets or exceeds specifications. PrimeCaps™ are available in 13 mm and 20 mm formats with matte or glossy finishes and flush design, in 40 standard plastic colors and 5 standard aluminum colors—with additional customization through inkjet printing and embossing/debossing for brand differentiation and anti-counterfeit protection. Manufactured across multiple sites with standardized dimensions, PrimeCaps™ support supply chain interchangeability and regional supply reliability, and are available in RFS and RTU configurations with gamma sterilization to a SAL of 10⁻⁶.
